Antique Mirror Tiles Designs:

  1. Beveled mirror tiles:

Usually when we talk about mirror tiles or antique mirror tiles, beveled tiles don’t popup in our minds. The basic purpose of using a mirror tile is to put multiple tiles together so they become a bigger mirror with smaller pieces and when you have beveled tiles, they don’t see to go with each other because there will be some space in between two tiles. Yes, this is true and for theory, it might be a flaw in the design but in reality, these beveled tiles go very well together. These pieces when put together create a sleek harmony and these are ideal for kitchen and bathroom walls. Keep in mind that beveled mirror tiles are not supposed to be used as traditional mirrors because there are visible breaking points in between each piece of tile.

  2. Splash back mirror tiles:

Antique mirror tiles are getting very common for using as splash back tiles in kitchens and bathrooms. Usually people don’t consider putting expensive tiles behind sinks and wash basins because this is an area where the tiles will be under constant water damage and if you put an expensive material here, there are chances that it will be damaged. A better and more modern approach to overcome this problem is by using antique mirror tiles. These small pieces of mirrors are toughened and during this process, they are damaged a little. That’s where they get the name of antique mirror tiles. These tiles are ideal for stopping water splashes from reaching the walls in kitchens and bathrooms and even laundry rooms.

  3. Interior mirror tiles:

Inside your house or office, you can turn an entire wall into mirror. A while back when someone wanted to do so, they only had only option to buy a very large mirror that can fit from wall to wall. This wasn’t an easy job because that huge piece of mirror was expensive and very difficult to handle. Now days, you can easily find mirror tiles. These tiles are either actual mirrors or they are made with acrylic or plastic materials. Acrylic mirror tiles can last longer than traditional mirrors and it’s also very easy to clean and maintain these tiles as well. Most people like to put these mirror tiles on the back of the fireplace where the wall will absorb some heat from the fire so mirror tiles are the perfect solution.

  4. Wall mirror tiles:

If you take a look at an antique mirror, it appears to be broken or damaged because there is visible damage to the mirror and frame around it but that’s what makes it antique looking. If it was completely intact mirror, it will be a new mirror not an antique piece of history. These days people are getting very fond of antique looking mirrors and that led the manufacturers to actually produce mirror tiles that are damaged intentionally so they appear to be antique. For the bedroom and lounge and common sitting area in the house, you can add these antique mirror tiles on the wall. Usually the antique tiles are added on the sides and in the middle; there is a fresh looking piece of mirror that serves the purpose while the smaller tiles around it are just for decorative purposes.
